Your role at Clorox:

The Planning Capabilities Manager is responsible for providing process improvement leadership, business applications and project management for various initiatives identified by the Community of Practice groups & IBP Leadership team. The Planning Capabilities Manager will build and maintain strong linkages to the IBP teams and to ensure engagement and ownership of project decisions. The Planning Capabilities Manager will be assigned projects based on his / her scope of supply chain knowledge and project management experience, with a strong bent towards S&OP and Inventory Management. Projects will generally be medium in scope and primarily involving the IBP Planning teams. Cross-functional involvement may be required to ensure communication and involvement as needed with other internal groups that may touch the target process. In addition, the Planning Capabilities Manager will support the business with expertise in target areas of Supply Chain Planning, including but not limited to training, systems upgrades and improvements, development and implementation of best practices, process / efficiency improvements and participation on broader continuous improvement efforts. Position requires communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills in addition to process improvement fundamentals and expertise in S&OP, Inventory Management and Capacity Planning functional areas of the Supply Chain.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop Capabilities: Investigate expanded capabilities for existing tools and systems, define opportunities, lead implementation and training.

  • Develop and provide end user training.

  • Provide expertise and support for planners enabling execution of standard work and achievement of KPI’s.

  • Development and ownership of specific tools and processes within Planning and other F2S processes.

  • Document processes and best practices as the owner of key processes.

  • Subject Matter Authority: Participate in Network & Inventory Planning CoP forum driving standard practices across the IBP teams.

  • Participate on internal & external teams as authority for specific application and Planning functional area.

  • Provide training in areas of expertise to other process owners and resources; participate in training on other supply chain processes.

  • Project Management: Identify, plan and lead medium to large size process / efficiency improvement initiatives that primarily involve system changes as well.

  • Develop and lead pilots for improvement initiatives. Aid Network planners in making small to large scale improvements both general in nature and part of key business strategies.

What we look for:

  • 7 plus years in functional multiple Supply Chain roles (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Deployment, Logistics, etc.)

  • Prior experience on project teams or process improvement initiatives

  • Proven knowledge of best practices, processes and tools to support Planning functional areas

  • Ability to be self-directed to work toward corporate and business unit objectives

  • Strong skills and having experience as a business team lead/member in a full implementation

  • Broad supply chain planning knowledge – Demand Planning, S&OP, DRP, Production Planning, MRP, CRP, inventory management, logistics and planning

  • Experience with high-volume Retail / CPG supply chains

  • Experience working in virtual or geographically dispersed teams

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Leadership, Teamwork, Persuasiveness and Tenacity

  • Fact Finding, Analysis, Judgment,

  • Interpersonal skills to effectively influence people to do new work

  • Planning & Organization Skills - Ability to plan and execute multiple projects/activities. Previous training delivery experience a plus.

  • BS/BA; technical/quantitative/business majors preferred or minimum of 7 years of experience in Supply Chain field

  • Advanced Degree Desired

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $104,100 - $199,100

–Zone B: $95,500 - $183,300

–Zone C: $86,800 - $166,600

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
