Working in a participative team based environment, using World Class Operations processes and principles, the Sr. EIC Engineer provides day-to-day engineering technical expertise to Operating Departments as needed. Leads the design and implementation of site based capital and manufacturing improvement projects. Participates on teams as an expert in the discipline and is able to work with minimal management oversight. Evaluates the feasibility of manufacturing, packaging, and process systems improvements and modifications. May have salaried and/or hourly associate direct reports. Through leadership and influence will lead project teams to deliver capital projects, manufacturing process improvements, and solve manufacturing problems. Manages and directs the work of outside engineering consultants and construction contractors during design and implementation of projects. Typically manages projects with a value of less than $1,000,000.

Technical support to Operations, Manufacturing Optimization, Capital Project Management, New Product Launches
World Class Operations Leadership and Continuous Improvement Support
Implement capital building & equipment installations and to improve manufacturing competitive performance.
Development of manufacturing equipment, processes, and procedures essential to line extensions, product improvements, and new product development.
Manage project scope, schedule, and finances to meet predetermined Clorox business objectives.
Provide technical analysis, project cost and schedule estimation, engineering effort forecasting, design recommendations, preparation of design and equipment specifications, design, review of design documents, development of construction sub-contract documents, and lead construction, commissioning, and start-up activities at plant facilities.
Provide engineering technical support to maintenance and plant operations
Position may require occasional (<5%) business travel.
Years and Type of Experience:
- 5+ years of engineering experience
Skills and Abilities
Strong technical skills related to electrical/instrumentation and controls.
Strong working knowledge of Allen Bradley hardware and software.
Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA
Working knowledge of industrial power and lighting applications; power distribution; and MCC, conduit and wiring
Ability to develop, read and interpret P&IDs and electrical drawings Education Level/Degree:
BS Electrical Engineering
