Process/IM Engineer

Position summary.

The Process Engineer is responsible for overseeing manufacturing process to ensure an optimized and sustained operation. Assures that process standards and procedures are in place and monitors they are in compliance in a day to day basis. Own Improvement Methods (IM) Pillar for the Site, leading the implementation of improvement projects to achieve site goals. Support day-to-day Manufacturing and Packing processes to improve productivity and efficiency using the established tools and methods. Constantly looking for improvement opportunities across the operation to bring it to the next level. Apply standards and tools to evaluate root cause, develop and implement permanent solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prioritize losses to optimize the use of resources on the site.

  • Elaborate action plans to systemically work and eliminate losses using the right analysis and improvement method.

  • Champion the development, tracking and implementation of improvements for the site (CIF).

  • Optimize process in compliance with existing regulatory requirements (i.e. Chlorine, DHS, EPA, among others.)

  • Analyze current process and determine ways to improve process performance, throughput and/or manufacturing costs.

  • Develop with equipment owners strategic steps to meet Operations Efficiency objectives.

Position requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Years and Type of Experience:

  • 2 to 3 years or equivalent experience in a manufacturing/packaging environment working with Equipment and Process Reliability systems.

  • Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills

  • Bilingual (Spanish & English)

  • Proven leadership capabilities

  • Initiative and decision-making skills

  • Capable of working in a flexible environment

  • Planning and Organization skills

  • Teamwork and minimum supervision required

  • Six Sigma experience and/or certifications (preferable)

  • Education Level/Degree:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Chemical or Mechanical Engineer
