Your role at Clorox:

The Trade Marketing Manager leads Clorox & Distributor teams to increase Clorox relationships and business results for the Traditional Trade and the Pet Channel across our Categories. It also provides linkage between Customer/Distributor Team and Trade Marketing Team.

In this role, you will:

  • Coaches, develops, empowers team members as appropriate owns cross-channel strategy and business plan for categories/brands.

  • Representative on appropriate cross functional teams; brings cross-functional leadership and Customer perspective Category Planning and Strategy Development: Recommends coordinated customer plans and owns cross-category business plan release.

  • Works with Brand Studio team to influence development of 18 month plan.

  • Partners with Customer teams and senior Sales and Marketing leaders to define category vision, strategies, resources and priorities.

  • Integrates knowledge of Clorox objectives, Customer strategies and consumer/shopper insights.

  • Ensures development of annual category business plans, leads execution of volume, net sales, AMPS and profit objectives for assigned Channel/Customer.

  • Sets strategy and vision for customer approach that enables delivery of business objectives.

  • Builds relationships with Senior leaders at Customer/Distributor and within Clorox. Understands and drives business planning process.

What we look for:

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in trade marketing role required especially in Traditional Trade (Key Accounts).

  • Sales experience preferred, marketing experience a plus/not necessary.

  • Passionate/ interest in Trade Marketing Role/Sales.

  • Strong EQ and patience in handling distributors. Ability to adapt quickly to cross-culture.

  • Experience working with operating functional areas, including Finance, Sales, and Product Supply.

  • Fluent English

  • Able to travel extensively. (up to an average of 25% of time)

Skills

  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on approach. Need to be practical (street-smart)

  • Meticulous, detailed oriented

  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational and creative thinking skills are required.

  • Demonstrated abilities in leading, decision making.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills used to uncover business opportunities and manage day-to-day business issues.

Education Level / Degree

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or similar.

  • MBA is a plus
