Job Overview/Summary

The Network Service Delivery Engineer will join the Global Network and End User Computing team. The individual will be responsible for delivery of Campus Wired and Wireless Network services throughout the company globally. The role will be collaborating tightly with peers on delivery and operation teams to ensure originating architecture choices are fully understood in scope and capability. The individual will drive designs through various technical resources including hardware vendors, consulting implementation partners, and peers. Integrated solution designs will need to be tightly planned and coordinated with other security, datacenter, end user computing engineers as well as local contacts at each site to assure that a complete end-end solution has been provided.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Development of solution designs, implementation strategies, and project execution of network related technology and services - 75%

This includes the management of the performance, availability, capacity, compliance, and responsiveness of the services delivered by all service providers and vendors.

  1. Support strategic business initiatives including support of service transition processes. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive higher efficiency and performance of network services-15%.

  2. Financial budget planning for projects – 10%

Key Skills, Abilities and Experience Required

  • Proficiency in Campus Routing, Switching using Cisco Catalyst 9K, 3850 and 4500 Platform

  • Large scale Cisco Wireless deployments utilizing both central and local switching using Cisco 5508 and 5520 Wireless Lan Controllers

  • Expert skill in diagnosing, solving complex problems and providing detailed technical analysis

  • Experience running and maintaining a 24x7 production environment, preferably across different

  • Creating TCO plans based Software Define and Legacy Solutions

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Complete understanding of Network Virtualization

  • Creation of Total cost of owner ship

  • Create Work Break down for delivery

  • Technical documentation including HLD/LLD
