Your role at Clorox:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is a critical part of the Maintenance and Production teams, responsible for Atlanta West facility, grounds, and property with particular attention to HVAC, Fire Protection Systems, and Air Compressors.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician reports to the Plant Maintenance Leader, and has responsibility for Facility PM work orders, troubleshooting, and general maintenance. We will supply all required tools and uniforms.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will collaborate across department boundaries, participating in team-based activities, and ensure compliance with all plant procedures, policies, and standards.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing facility related building systems and equipment, ensuring a safe and functional environment for all employees and visitors. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting issues, performing preventive maintenance, and collaborating with other team members to enhance facility operations.
In this role, you will:
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
Perform repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
Execute preventive maintenance schedules and maintainaccurate records of work performed.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of facilities for events and meetings.
Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
Collaborate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to best practices in facility management.
Participate in training programs and stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
Complete PM work orders and create work orders for issues discovered during PM inspections
Inspect or test damaged facility related equipment parts, and mark defective areas or adviseplant maintenance leader of repair needs.
Use SAP to pull weekly work schedule, evaluate work orders, and escalate work as needed to ensure scheduled work is completed timely
Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
Inventory and requisition supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenished.
Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
Prepare maintenance daily reports using activity logs, analysis, and trends.
Attend daily shift meetings to discuss prioritized work orders
Provide facility and environmental support to capital and internal projects. This includes documentation, job scopes, managing contractors, and participating in meetings.
Drive Forklift and shop mobile equipment as needed.
Understand the value and benefits of 5S and how the program impacts areas of responsibility. Actively participate in this 5S Program.
Basic understanding or corrective, preventative, predictive and risk-based maintenance strategies.
Assist the Maintenance Planning Department with identifying parts needed and kitting/staging parts as necessary
Repair or maintain buildings and/or land improvements.
Any other duties as assigned by management.

The Facilities Maintenance Technician continually or frequently encounters these conditions during a shift of work:
1) exposure to dust & fine particles; 2) exposure to high noise levels; 3) exposure to moving equipment; 4) exposure to scents and odors; 5) repetitive gross and find hand motions, including grasping, gripping and bending hand/wrist; 6) standing (up to 6 hours per shift); 7) walking (up to 6 hours per shift); 8) wear common protective or safety equipment (safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection); 9) work at heights exceeding 6 feet; 10) work outdoors and indoors, partially environmentally controlled.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician occasionally or seldom encounters these conditions during a shift of work:
1) bending, twisting or squatting; 2) climb steps and ladders; 3) lifting and carrying, up to 50 lbs; 4) pushing and pulling, up to 50 lbs; 5) reach above shoulder, perform work at or above shoulder height; 6) sitting; 7) wear specialized protective or safety equipment; 8) work in very hot or very cold temperatures; 9) work outdoors, exposed to weather; 10) work with various hand and power tools.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related role.
Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs.
Proficient with hand and power tools, as well as maintenance software systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of SAP PM preferred
Hourly Compensation: $33.68 per hour
Minimum Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in facilities management, HVAC, plumbing, or related field preferred.
