Your role at Clorox:

The Manufacturing Controller will lead the accounting, analysis, and cost deployment functions across multiple Cleaning division manufacturing locations. This pivotal role ensures effective inventory controls, robust management reporting, insightful budgeting, and accurate forecasting. The Controller will also guide financial transactions and provide strategic financial advice to support plant operations.

In this role, you will:

  • Financial Leadership and Control: Direct all financial operations at the plant, ensuring accuracy in inventory management, financial transactions, and compliance with accounting standards across multiple locations.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the preparation of comprehensive budgets and forecasts for the plant, including detailed analysis for warehousing segments, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Responsible for budget, cost control, inventory management, and reporting

  • Cost Management and Analysis: Spearhead lean manufacturing cost processes to enhance visibility of financial losses, identify opportunities for savings, and flag potential financial threats. Own the loss analysis process to pinpoint inefficiencies and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Loss Analysis for Manufacturing: Develop and implement a comprehensive tool and process to ensure visibility into losses associated with manufacturing, materials, labor, and logistics, enabling proactive management and decision-making.

  • Reporting and Automation: Design and implement automated financial reporting systems to improve managerial oversight of project costs and operational performance. Utilize PowerBI to create dynamic and interactive financial reports.

  • Standardization of Procedures: Assist in the development and implementation of standardized financial procedures, operations, and reporting functions to streamline plant activities and enhance financial clarity.

  • Strategic Guidance: Provide strategic financial insights and guidance to plant management, contributing to decision-making processes and operational improvements.

What we look for:

  • 5 years of minimum professional work experience in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience.

  • 2 years of minimum Manufacturing Industry experience.

  • SAP or other ERP systems experience preferred.

  • US GAAP proficiency. SOX or internal audit desirable

  • Budget and Forecasting Experience.

  • Ability to lead and influence peers.

  • Communicate the Plant’s Financial goals and results internally and externally to the highest standards of professionalism

  • Contribute to overall organizational effectiveness

  • Planning and organization skills: ability to establish work plans, "multi-task", and prioritize simultaneous projects

  • Thorough and detail oriented

Workplace type:

This position requires to work 3 days at the office and 2 days at home.

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $104,100 - $199,100

–Zone B: $95,500 - $183,300

–Zone C: $86,800 - $166,600

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
