Position Title: Supply Chain Lead / Associate Project Manager, AMEA

Position summary

Leads cross-functional teams to deliver projects such as: innovation projects (Rapid Response, Regional Rapid Response, Core Growth), Saving, Supply Assurance, etc. Those projects involve working closely with marketing, sales, R&D, finance, supply chain and others as needed. Delivers low and medium complexity projects e.g local or regional rapid responses, core growth project, supply assurance projects and saving projects and value creating projects (time constrained, category complexity, share gaining) for new products and/or cost savings.

Leads projects from initiation (charter) through Start of Ship (SOS) and close out, employing a stage gate process. Organizes the cross-functional activities to ensure completion of the project/product on schedule on budget and within charter constraints. Ensures the development of risks & contingency plans. Implements contingencies as needed. Challenges team assumptions for clarity and congruency. Pushes category leadership teams to make key decisions timely. Act as a key business partner and leader by neighborhood stakeholders. Ability to operate in a virtual team environment with cross functional members in different time-zones and locations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support top-line, margin, and/or share growth by leading challenging and new product initiatives (imports from US, rapid responses, cost savings projects)

  • Develop and maintain a high performing organization of enthusiastic owners through active listening, challenging, direction setting, coaching, and execution.

  • Decision making and team influence through data analysis, facts, and critical assessment

  • Proactively drive process and stage gate steps, explicitly declare breakdowns and achieve related goals for those areas of responsibility

  • Work on system activities, set up, resource planning (PPM)

  • leads small to medium scale product changes e.g. RR, RRR and CG on single or multi-country

  • Leads cost savings projects.

  • Lead other Supply Chain activities such as ensure sourcing and supply assurance, support / coordinate Planning in inventories management and project transitions and represents PSO for multi-functional initiatives.

Position requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Years and Type of Experience:

  • 5 years leading project teams or working in cross-functional teams

  • Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable in stage gate process and Project management practices (a certified, professional project manager is desired)

  • Strong business and project leadership skills, assertive and diplomatic, self directing, able to manage up and down the organization without authority, willing to hold others accountable.

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.

  • Functional knowledge across Legal, Regulatory, Manufacturing, R&D, Finance and Accounting, and Marketing.

  • Broad industry experience with a preference for Consumer Packaged Goods

  • Education Level/Degree:

  • Bachelor's degree required (engineering/technical degree preferred)

  • MBA is a plus
