The Clorox Company Corporate Quality Assurance Sr.Compliance Auditor in Kennesaw, Georgia

The Corporate Quality Assurance (CQA) Auditor is responsible for conducting Quality System Assessments/Audits for Clorox facilities, suppliers, third-party labs, and contract manufacturers for our Foods and Supplement Business. The auditor verifies adequate food safety; FSVP and Quality programs/protocols are in place. The CQA Auditor has a detail working knowledge of Quality Assurance Fundamentals in a FDA regulated and non-regulated environment and uses this knowledge as the basis for audits. The auditing role home base is located in Kennesaw Georgia, but working remotely may be considered. Once qualified, the auditor is expected to maintain his/her qualification status. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining an audit Schedule, following up on nonconformances identified during audits, and capturing and communicating results to key stakeholders.

The Corporate QA Auditor acts as a resource to the plants and their Self-Improvement Quality assessments. They provide coaching and assistance to others within the Company and with our external partners on Clorox's Quality principles, values and policies. The CQA Auditor represents The Clorox Company and is responsible for producing an accurate and impartial assessment of the quality assurance risks present within each internal operation, Contract Manufacturer or Material Supplier. The QA Auditor will communicate results to key stakeholders per a formal audit report.

This role will need the candidate to travel approx. 75% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality System Assessments -- Conduct assessments/audits of Clorox manufacturing facilities, raw/package material suppliers, contract laboratories, and contract manufacturers. Maintain an audit schedule and ensure all assessments/audit documentation are accurately completed, results communicated, and filed properly in the Supplier Quality Management SharePoint Site. Review and approve CAPA plans for sufficiency and transition plans to Supplier Performance Management Team for maintenance.

  • Quality Assurance Projects/Processes - Own and implement quality project(s) or processes as needed to improve/sustain the SQM/Auditing quality systems, such as SOP/Standards revisions/deployment, Quality System Element Training process, etc.

  • Continuous Improvement - Identify gaps and outages in our operations Quality Systems, processes, and tools and communicate outages and identify approach, resources and plan to rectify. Ensure that our assessment/audit program is robust and collaborate with the Audit process owner to continuously improve the audit process.

  • Self-Development -- Attend internal/external training/seminars to acquire and maintain the appropriate skills, certification(s) needed to be SME and effective in the role. Stay current with understanding with Industry standards/regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

  • 5 years of experience in a FDA Foods regulated environment, Including production and quality.

  • 3 years' experience with FDA regulations (Foods, Supplements) CFR 111 and CFR 117

  • HACCP (HARPC) certification

  • .Position will require the candidate to be in manufacturing environment with rotating equipment, elevated surfaces, temperature variations etc.

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Food Science, Microbiology, or Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.

  • 3 years' experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and industry regulations

  • CQE, CQA or RABQSA certification.

  • PCQI preferred

  • Knowledge of FDA regulations (OTC, Medical Devices)

  • Plant operations experience.

  • Excellent analytical skills and problem solving ability.

  • Knowledge of quality systems, including statistical process control. ISO 9000 systems knowledge.

  • Highly Flexible and adaptable. Able to work independently in a fast paced multitasking environment.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Strong Leadership and Influencing skills.

  • Highly self-motivated who can perform with minimal supervision
