The Clorox Company Regional Sales Manager, Midwest in Minneapolis, Minnesota

The Region Sales Manager, Midwest will be responsible for managing customers in the Midwest region and partner with the Acosta Broker organization to deliver volume and AMPS results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the Business

  • Gather and interpret data, with support from cross-functional team, to understand business drivers.

  • Identify volume and promotional opportunities that reinforce customer strategies and positively impact sales and profit

  • Manage trade funds to deliver business objectives with a positive ROI. Identify and drive growth within these rapidly expanding categories and businesses.

  • Customer Planning and Business Analysis

  • Engage and interact with buyers, inventory analysts, and other key retailer contacts while driving execution of the team's business plan/strategy.

  • Leverage available data to provide reporting and recommendations in support of business decisions or initiatives and in support of our mutual strategies with Kroger/Vitacost.

  • Provide deliverables while meeting deadlines, both internally and Kroger driven.

  • Build Capability to Drive Growth and Eliminate Waste

  • Use appropriate tools, processes, resources to support Cross Functional Sales team and drive greater efficiencies as an operating unit.

  • Communicate findings with wide variety of stakeholders including field sales teams, sales planning teams, retailer contacts and Clorox leadership.

  • Engage our People as Business Owners

  • Develop personal strengths and capabilities to develop as a sales leader, maintain positive relationships within the Clorox team, and develop outstanding customer service skills for the Kroger/Vitacost team with whom we interact.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Years & Types of Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years CPG sales experience

  • Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of data analytics, Syndicated Data (IRI and/or ACN), Excel and Microsoft Office products.

  • Ability to learn and understand customer specific data.

  • Ability to collaborate in a multi-functional team setting and work synergistically with others while exhibiting respect and positive attitude.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Well organized with ability to prioritize and self-manage workload; ability to take ownership of issues and ensure timely resolution.

  • Strong integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality even within Clorox organization

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Education Level/Degree

  • College Degree

Preferred Qualfications:

  • Previous Customer facing direct selling experience preferred

  • Previous experience working in a Brokered Sales environment preferred
