Your role at Clorox:

The Plant Human Resources (HR) Generalist will aid in the facilitation of Human Resources and related administrative functions at the Morrisville plant. This role supports benefits and leave of absence administration, provides HRIS support, data entry, and assists in the execution of employee engagement initiatives by coordinating site events and campaigns.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as point-of-contact for employees, interacting and answering administrative questions related to policies, processes, benefits, short/long-term disability/FMLA process, leave/ ADA policy/procedures.

  • Routinely interface with site employees and escalate issues and relevant information to HR Manager or appropriate member of site leadership/ managerial staff to ensure timely management of issues and support needs.

  • Organizes and supports execution of wellness activities, benefits and resource fairs, blood drives, charitable giving programs, new hire orientation, recognition programs, birthday acknowledgements, and special events. Aids in the development of internal communications to help inform and engage site employees. (Ex: New hire announce ments, event and initiative flyers, memos, etc.)

  • Assists with gathering HR information, documentation, and fielding related requests as needed. (EE files, statements, policy acknowledgements, COE requests, etc.)

  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding activities and related processes.

  • Facilitation of New Hire Orientation.

  • Complete I-9, verify I-9 documentation, and maintain I-9 files.

  • Serve as Workday SME resource for employees and managers.

  • Serves as back-up to plant HR & Payroll Admin in serving as SME for the administration of payroll, time and attendance, file maintenance, ordering lunch, maintaining office supply inventory, distributing mail, vendor management, and special projects as assigned, etc.

What we look for:

Years and Type of Experience

  • 3-4 years of broad HR experience supporting execution of employee engagement, training, LOA, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, time and attendance, payroll, HRIS systems, and data reporting.

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of demonstrated effective use of an organization’s HRIS and payroll systems.

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in conflict resolution and interfacing with employees at varying levels within organization.

  • Experience as an HR Administrator, Talent Acquisition Specialist, HR Specialist, or Generalist at a manufacturing site preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Time-management, planning, prioritization, and organizational skills are a must.

  • Ability to use independent judgment to proactively in anticipate issues and follow through on resolution.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills - Outlook, Word, & Excel

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal instruction, using creativity and flexibility to work in a fast-paced priority changing environment.

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and a sense of urgency.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal, negotiation, conflict resolution skills, interpersonal and written communication skills, and the ability to interface at multiple levels within the organization.

  • Proven customer service and responsiveness with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Build consensus and lead team toward common goal.

Education Level/Degree:

  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university required with course work in business, human resources, or related field or 5+ years professional experience as an HR Administrator, HR Specialist or Generalist

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with course work in business, human resources, or related field

  • PHR or SHRM certification is a plus

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience, and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $62,500 - $111,300

–Zone B: $57,300 - $102,000

–Zone C: $52,100 - $92,700

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
