About Clorox DTC:

Clorox DTC (direct-to-consumer) is the owned & operated e-commerce arm of Clorox where daily interactions and conversations with customers translate into high growth and continuous learnings. The agile, growing team, well-positioned in the New York, San Francisco, and D.C. areas, is made up of cross-functional professionals who launch and grow DTC wellness brands, while simultaneously mobilizing the online presence of Clorox’s well-loved and established retail brands. Clorox DTC is where a start-up’s appetite for innovation, efficiency, and speed meets the stability and resources of a Fortune 500. Functions, similar to any scaled e-commerce company, are wide and varied across R&D; operations; product/experience; marketing; creative; data science/analytics and technology/engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Designer, Video & Digital

As part of the growing DTC Brand & Creative Team, you’ll breathe life into our wellness brands by producing videos and designs in support of our paid and organic marketing efforts. Reporting to the Art Director, you’ll partner with Copy, Marketing, Product, Data, and R&D to articulate our brand stories, engage and convert customers, and visually communicate our value to the world. You’ll produce videos and designs across several customer lifecycle touchpoints, including our social channels, youtube, drtv, email, landing pages, and our website.

Our future Designer, Video & Digital is both a natural storyteller and a skilled technician who can concept and produce content that balances communicating a brand’s value against the ultimate goal to drive performance. A Day in the Life

  • Concept and produce both videos and designs across several customer lifecycle touchpoints, including our social channels, youtube, drtv, email, landing pages, and our website

  • Develop, shoot, edit, and produce innovative, engaging, performance-driving videos for distribution across marketing channels in support of our business goals

  • Edit externally sourced video content to reuse/reinterpret in new ways (Ex: turning partner or influencer content into a new campaign)

  • Understand, interpret, and respond to revisions throughout the approval process within short time frames

  • Storyboard, present and pitch concepts to team members and stakeholders, clearly explaining and respectfully defending your choices and ideas, and thoughtfully incorporating aligned upon feedback

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest creative trends in performance marketing and graphic/video design and consistently push your work in new ways

  • Execute post-production work, including text/graphic effects, motion, color correction, exporting and delivery of files

  • Execute and maintain a consistent library of motion graphics and visual effects per brand

Key Skills, Abilities and Experience Required

  • 4+ years working in a fast-paced, high-growth company producing videos and graphic design in support of marketing goals

  • A relevant portfolio of performance-driving video and graphic design, preferably including previous work from DTC brands

  • Technical skills to execute at all stages of a video or static project, including storyboarding, shooting, editing, basic animation, and motion design

  • Experience with text graphics and motion design

  • Experience in editing/creating digital content for social and platforms (Youtube, etc.)

  • An eye for detail and proven ability to independently manage projects in an extremely fast-paced environment

  • Flexibility and agility to jump between projects with shifting schedules and deadlines

  • Experience in working independently as well as collaboratively

  • Good project management and time management skills

  • Ability to work with people in-person as well as with people who are remote

  • Strong brainstorming and ideation skills

  • High level of video best practices across core social channels and youtube

  • The ability to move quickly without sacrificing quality

  • A natural ability to collaborate well with others across the organization and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and highly-fluid environment

  • Experience leveraging data and consumer insights to inform design decisions

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to express your design decisions and collaborate cross-functionally

  • Highly motivated self-starter with a positive attitude

  • Clear, concise, and transparent communication style
