The Clorox Company Assistant Finance Manager, Electro Creative Workshop in Oakland, California

The Electro Creative Workshop, The Clorox Company's in-house creative agency, is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager who loves numbers and thrives in a creative environment. You will be responsible for leading all P+L Revenue Budgeting, Forecast, Tracking and Close responsibilities at the agency. This includes the evaluation of risks and opportunities, administrative expenses, bill-back/retainer/projects financial management of $23-25MM annual revenue, including collaboration with cross functional partners such as Corporate Finance, Brand Studios & Brand Engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Electro's monthly and fiscal year forecasting, tracking, close, and gap management processes, ensuring timely & accurate completion of deliverables. Provide accurate and clear analysis of business drivers, challenge assumptions and methodologies.

  • Support functional teams in tracking and achieving targets, identifying opportunities and risks.

  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners (marketing/sales/external partners/etc.) to deliver results and meet Electro administrative, bill-back and retainer financial objectives.

  • Support Electro functional reporting (SAP, in-house database) and complete ad hoc analysis to support Electro leadership.

  • Identification and implementation of sustainable process improvement and value creation opportunities that eliminate non-value added work, enhance business insights, and improve our financial results Minimum Qualifications:

Years and Type of Experience:

  • 7 or more years of experience in finance and/or accounting

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of general accounting theory and financial statement preparation

  • SAP or other ERP experience

  • Highly analytical with ability to communicate information to senior management and distill issues and risks

  • Solution oriented mindset and the ability to influence teams

  • Strong planning and organizational skills

  • Ardent attention to detail and data integrity

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and form solid relationships with other teams and work groups

  • Growth mindset with ability to identify and implement ways to streamline and improve effectiveness and efficiency Education Level/Degree:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in finance at an advertising/creative agency or in-house agency

  • CPA is a plus
