Your role at Clorox:

In this role you will work under the general supervision of an attorney on projects touching the full lifecycle of our commercial contracting practice. This includes reviewing NDAs and other commercial agreements using playbooks and trainings provided by our attorneys, flagging key issues for attorney review when needed, conducting legal and benchmarking research that may be relevant to our projects, assisting with the management of our contracts including within our contract lifecycle management (CLM) system), supervising commercial transactions projects, and assisting with the preparation of presentation and training materials for Legal leadership and cross-functional business partners.

In this role, you will:

  • Review NDAs and other commercial agreements using training and playbook provided by attorneys, flagging issues for attorney review when needed.

  • Conduct legal and benchmarking research to support projects and transactions.

  • Handle contracts, including in our CLM, crafting new organizational systems when needed and reaching new technology solutions for the same.

  • Own a central template and playbook database and build a system for periodically reviewing and updating the same.

  • Lead a project tracker for the commercial transactions team, working closely with the attorneys to collect data.

  • Serve as the first stop for contracting questions from our Procurement function, including with respect to process and notice questions.

  • Assist with preparation of presentations and other summarizing documents for executives and business leads.

What we look for:

Experience

  • 8-10 years of experience in the legal profession

  • At least 5 years working within a contract management role at a law firm or large company.

  • Experience across the lifecycle of contracting issues at a large company, including with respect to reviewing standard agreements against a playbook, handling templates and playbooks, working in the ecosystem of contract software, including CLM systems, and understanding key issues that require attorney review and input.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to transform sophisticated information into clear, concise and actionable communications for business partners.

  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

  • Be a self-starter, approach work with a sense of urgency.

Education

  • BA/BS required. A certificate from an ABA-approved Paralegal training program shows a commitment to the profession but is not required and does not take the place of case contract manager/paralegal work experience.

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $104,100 - $199,100

–Zone B: $95,500 - $183,300

–Zone C: $86,800 - $166,600

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
