The Clorox Company Global Analytics Insights Manager in Oakland, California

The Analytic Insights Manager is responsible for driving business results by leveraging broad-based business knowledge and a high level of functional expertise. You will do this by directing strategies and tactics that enable achievement of sales and profit targets at the brand level. As the Analytic Insights Manager, you are responsible for proactively identifying key business issues in collaboration with business partners, managing key research priorities/plans and providing actionable recommendations that drive business results. You will also enable conversion from insights to action by building strong business and cross-functional relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business results by influencing key decisions through an analytics-based perspective in the areas of Forecast, Sales and Marketing management.

  • Integrate consumer/market insights and a solid understanding of the broader business context to make more persuasive recommendations.

  • Proficiently perform and apply advanced analytics techniques, including but not limited to:

  • Marketing mix modeling

  • Forecasting

  • Price & Promotions modeling and simulations

  • Optimization

  • Market structure analysis and interpretation

  • Business tracking and evaluation

  • Champion analytic insights within the company and build strong cross-functional relationships to become embedded as a critical element of strategic business unit operation.

  • Implement best practices within Analytic Insights through standardization of methods, tools, and knowledge-sharing.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Years and Type of Experience:

  • 5+ years business and analytical experience with Masters; 2+ years with PhD

  • Advanced data mining and analysis experience, specifically with Excel/Tableau and statistical packages (SAS, SPSS, S-Plus, R, Stats, Minitab, or JMP)

  • Skills and Abilities

  • Analytical thinker and critical problem solver with an deep business acumen and ability to connect data to business strategy

  • Effective and persuasive communicator with the ability to influence a wide variety of business partners

  • Strong relationship building and collaboration skills

  • Project management skills and results-driven

  • Planning & Organizing with ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously with emphasis on agility

  • Education Level/Degree

  • Masters or PhD in Marketing Research, Business Administration, Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, or related applied quantitative field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Marketing Mix Modeling experience
