Portfolio Process Mgr

Portfolio Management & Process Compliance is responsible for all aspects of internal IT Demand Management and IT financials and is responsible for ensuring the strategic and tactical alignment of the IT portfolio with cross-functional IT leadership. Functions as the conduit through which IT priorities and needs are communicated and incorporated within the overall IT & PMO portfolio plans. Portfolio Management & Process Compliance is also responsible for the capacity management and resource allocation for the Clorox IT Project Portfolio and is responsible for process compliance and issue & escalation management throughout IT.

Position Description

  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the overall IT Portfolio Plan and managing its financials, while ensuring it aligns with the overall IT strategy.

  • From these Portfolio Plans, creates and manages an actionable roadmap that outlines what IT is expected to deliver internally. Ensures definition, prioritization, and delivery of IT needs, as well as high level approach (including development of project charters, expected value, risks, and resource requirements) in collaboration with their IT and business partners.

  • Integrate across IT and ensures project activities from ideation to project manager assignment are completed. Engages with delivery leads throughout project implementation to align functional resources with IT delivery and support activities.

  • Responsible for all aspects of Capacity Management and Resource allocation for the Clorox IT Project Portfolio.· Responsible for Process compliance and issue/escalation management throughout IT

  • Develops and leads the strategy for the IT organization around resource management for both internal and external resources including suggesting resource training and capability development in alignment with the IT roadmap and strategies.

  • Responsible for summarizing demand forecast vs budget and expected burn rate to assist in identifying overages/shortfalls to enable balancing across all portfolios.

Position requirements

Years and Type of Experience:

Minimum required:

  • 10+ yrs experience in application portfolio management and planning experience.

  • 10+ yrs experience building and maintaining relationships with customers, clients, and colleagues.

  • 4 -- 6 yrs extensive experience working with large application vendors like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, and SaaS providers like NetSuite, WorkDay, Salesforce, Planview or other PPM tools.

Skills and Abilities

Minimum Required

  • Process development, documentation, and implementation.

  • Ability to bridge communications between the IT and business organizations, with a focus on developing an understanding of how to structure contracts to deliver against business needs and goals.

  • Protect the enterprise's interests, comply with applicable regulations and mitigate risks, assembling the appropriate set of clauses and schedules, without hampering delivery methodologies and processes.

  • Leverage interpersonal relationship strengths to manage disputes and drive change in vendor behaviors, and create a working environment where vendors receive incentives to change behaviors and meet performance goals.

  • Analyze and evaluate change to drive continuous improvement in the process of contract management and incorporate contract management trends.


  • Experience working in International countries (e.g. LATAM, AMEA)

  • Enterprise-wide understanding of business processes, systems, and data -- ideally in Fortune 500 multi-national companies, in fast-moving consumer goods, and FDA-regulated food / drug industries.

  • Understanding of Agile / Six Sigma / Lean Methodologies.

Education Level/Degree:

  • BA or BS degree is preferred
