The Senior Accountant on the Corporate Accounting team partners with various business units and cross functional teams to provide accounting oversight and support. This position supports the monthly and quarterly accounting close processes as well as any Sarbanes-Oxley self-assessment testing. The position will drive process improvements by identifying and executing changes to be more efficient and effective as well as supporting our external reporting requirements and audit activities.

  • Support monthly and quarter close processes, including review and preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations as well as reporting and analytics for area of responsibility

  • Provide technical accounting support (U.S GAAP accounting guidance) to the business unit partners, including research and recommendations on accounting issues, as well as implementation of accounting and policy changes.

  • Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley self- assessment testing for owned areas

  • Provide support to internal and external audit activities including preparation and review of audit schedules as needed

  • Drive process improvements by identifying and executing changes to be more effective and efficient including leveraging data and technology to unlock value

  • Other ad hoc requests, such as documentation of key transactions through technical accounting memorandums and other projects to support accounting team or business units.

Key Skills, Abilities and Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting or relevant experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statements

  • Attention to detail resulting in consistent, reliable and accurate work product

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize

  • Flexible, adaptable and proactive

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in teams and with cross functional partners

  • Strong understanding the financial close processes

  • Strong process improvement mindset with ability to identify and implement changes

  • Proficient in PC applications (eg Excel, Microsoft Office)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with a major ERP system (SAP, HFM)

  • Big 4 or public accounting experience preferred

  • CPA certificate/candidate

  • Experience with Power BI and Power Query
