Senior Consultant, Digital Technology & Innovation

Digital Marketing Technology Strategist with a passion for envisioning and building digital marketing platforms and creating amazing omni-channel customer experiences using technology solutions.

The person in this role will serve as a digital chief technologist and consultant for internal and external projects specific to designing and implementing digital strategies and plans. (S)he will strengthen and encourage the knowledge share of newly developed digital solution capabilities, as well as perform competitive analysis of new technologies. (S)he will need to stay current and ahead of industry trends, and stay up-to-date on emerging technology in social media, digital at retail/CPG, and mobile and omni-channel to continually develop and enhance Clorox's capabilities and digital offerings. Additionally, (s)he should stay abreast of technologies related to data, visualization, analytics and business intelligence, and information sharing to determine potential applicability for Clorox's needs.

Position Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Build enterprise digital capabilities:

  • Work with senior client executives in support of diverse priorities, including evaluating digital products and services against organizational strategies.

  • Particularly focus on developing new digital initiatives and plans to improve consumer experiences to drive brand value.

  • Tie these priorities and initiatives back to the IT roadmaps and architectures to ensure robustness of new capabilities in adherence to IT security and supportability.

  • Offer consultative and advisory support:

  • Work with our business and IT partners on their digital technology strategy.

  • Provide them with an insider's understanding and an outsider's objectivity, and help them evolve in this highly disruptive and ever changing digital landscape

  • Promote Clorox's Digital Technology Brand:

  • Provide thought leadership by speaking at events and conferences and working on whitepapers or research.

  • Bring back to Clorox the insights gained from participating in these external events

  • Partner on Technology Innovation:

  • Play a prominent role in Clorox's Technology Advancement Center to help assess ideas and their potential for digital transformation impact to Clorox

  • Develop connected digital thinking across the value chain to ensure that consumer-facing digital capabilities translate to the appropriate sub-capabilities across all the functions that make up the value chain.

Position requirements

Years and Type of Experience:

  • Min 15 years technology-related work experience out of which

  • 5+ years of experience with business strategy or technology, focused on digital issues, including any combination of social media, mobile devices, Cloud computing and as a service business models, eCommerce and channel strategy, or user experience

  • 5+ years of experience with digital Web architecture, mobile and technologies trends, including products from leading firms in the digital services space, such as Google, Amazon, Apple, and Salesforce

  • 5+ years of experience with quantitative approaches to problem solving and recommendation development and proactive independent research to identify related industry insights, best practices, and applicable recommendation area

  • 5+ years of experience with applying multiple software methodologies and processes, including Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative

Skills and Abilities

  • Since this is a role that engages and influences senior business leaders, extremely good communication and presentation skills are vital

  • Digital Marketing - eCommerce | Customer Engagement Platforms

  • Cross-Functional enterprise capability development

  • Digital Product Conception, Design & Development

  • Hands on Tech Expertise in AdTech (DMP, DSP), MarTech (CMS/DAM, CRM, eComm, Analytics)

  • The ability to gather, synthesize, and analyze public and private sector digital trends across multiple industries, and apply them to Clorox's environments to define the direction for technology and product solutions

Desirable:

  • Technology Consulting background in a large company would be ideal

  • Architecture background (particularly Data Architecture) would be very beneficial

Education Level/Degree:

  • BA/BS
