The Clorox Company Senior Scientist in Pleasanton, California
Have you ever wanted to work on a purpose driven brand? We are currently looking for a Senior Scientist to join the Brita R&D team to help make water better for people and the planet. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams on projects from charter through all stages of product development, production and successful market launch. There will be ample opportunity to understand and influence the direction that is taken within manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and working directly with external suppliers. This role will be very hands on with equal parts lab work, product development, commercialization, and process optimization. Travel is expected up to 25% with international travel likely.

Develop, scale-up and produce robust new products that meet consumers expectations and to ensure products are successfully manufactured within the project time frame.
Provide technical leadership on multi-disciplined project teams and work closely with Manufacturing, Product Supply, Global Insights, Sales and Marketing.
Build strong working relationships with peers and work as a team player in a multi-disciplined project team.
Show passion for experimentation and technical rigor in a hands-on environment.
Demonstrate empathy for the consumers, seek to understand consumer-use experience throughout entire product use cycle and apply key insights to product & package design.
Years and Type of Experience:
- 5 years consumer product development experience.
Skills and Abilities
Technical strength in Product Development and curiosity for the consumer.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative team environment.
High energy, positive drive, and commitment in setting and meeting aggressive goals and seeking out new opportunities. Desire to flex to the work across the R&D roles.
Ability to work effectively within geographically dispersed teams.
- Bachelors of Science degree from an accredited institution required. Prefer degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Packaging or Equivalent
Durable goods injection molding knowledge and experience.
Previous work with product regulatory or certifying agencies.
