Your role at Clorox:

Become our next Maintenance and Engineering Leader. We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team and drive operational excellence.

You'll play a critical role ensuring the seamless operation of Clorox plants in Central America. This role is accountable for the maintenance of processes, packaging, utilities, and infrastructure, as well as engineering activities including planning, approval, and execution of the capital expenditure (CAPEX) plan. The successful candidate will lead all aspects of preventive, corrective, and improvement maintenance, leading capital projects under management standards, Good Manufacturing Practices, and a culture of continuous improvement.

In this role, you will:

  • Leads and manages the maintenance team, ensuring a collaborative environment with different areas of the organization to execute maintenance tasks and troubleshoot problems with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Manages, supervises, and monitors the maintenance of equipment and facilities on production lines, process areas, utilities, and plant infrastructure, ensuring the proper performance of equipment

  • Ensures the continuity, reliability, performance, and safety of facilities, machinery, and equipment; being responsible for the corresponding indicators (OEE, UDT, etc.).

  • Manages the department's budget, ensuring budgetary discipline and finding opportunities for cost-saving projects (MTO).

  • Properly manages the spare parts' warehouse, maintaining the correct inventory level of spare parts, achieving the right cost-benefit balance through proper purchasing and invoicing management according to Clorox policies.

  • Keeps up-to-date the documentation corresponding to equipment maintenance, including records and reports requested by the HSE area and the corresponding authorities.

What we look for:

  • Over 5 years of experience in similar positions within consumer goods companies, ideally Chemical and Packaging Plants

  • Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electrical, or Electronics or equivalent working experience

  • Proven ability to apply engineering skills for problem-solving and process improvements.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership through influence at all levels and ability to work effectively in a participative, team-based environment.

  • Advanced skills in MS Office and SAP

  • Experience with methodologies such as WCM, TPM, or similar..

  • Experience with Power Platform tools: MS Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps.

  • Advanced knowledge of PLCs and automation systems

  • Knowledge of water treatment and pumping systems.

  • Expertise in electrical substations, air compressors, and HVAC systems.

  • Familiarity with Industrial and Electrical Safety standards: LOTO, Arc Flash, etc.

  • Regulatory knowledge of ISO 9000, ISA standards, ASME/ANSI, NEC, and NFPA
