Your role at Clorox:

The Senior Production Planner is responsible for all activities related to scheduling the Production Filling Lines based on feasible filling plan requirements, Demand/Capacity management, inventory control, and ensuring that the organization can provide a high level of service to our customers.

The incumbent will make efforts to schedule in a manner that optimizes operating efficiency and resources, as well as minimize the expiration and disposal/waste of Bulk product.

Other responsibilities include leadership in change management, participation in department initiatives and process owner for key plant processes (NODD, recipes).

In this role, you will:

  • Analyze short/mid/long-term production plans and following through with its execution to fulfill customer’s needs.

  • Elaborate packaging schedule to dictate Finished Goods availability to meet demand, reduce the amount of downtime and/or schedule changes.

  • Drive Organizational Empowerment to increase speed of decision-making (agility), drive clearer priorities and better allocate resources.

  • Verify that all components and bulk are available for filling, understanding inventory levels to meet the needs of finished good production.

  • Sequence production in SAP and use scheduling module to create weekly production schedule for bulk and filling. Attend pre-Scheduling and Scheduling meetings to present schedule to line leads.

  • Maintain SAP master data for bulk and WIP item numbers for designated production lines.

  • Develop relationships with Shift Leads, Line Owners, and materials management to communicate issues effectively and get feedback on how to improve sequencing of process orders.

  • Work with SCLs on innovation and transition projects to meet SOS dates, support new product trials, launches and changes to existing products to ensure availability, Schedule all trial fills, sales sample fills and pilot batches on your lines.

  • Manage D&D report with a run out plan and reason codes.

  • Develop relationships with Inventory Planners to communicate issues relating to product availability for pack-out due to component or raw material delivery delays.

  • Attend and participate in Daily, Weekly and Monthly Production Meetings.

  • Manage Bulk expiration dates, inventory clean-up process for assigned production lines.

  • Address weekly production order issues and anomalies, revise Process Orders and schedules as needed due to business demands or inventory discrepancies and communicate changes to key stakeholders and departments.

  • Identify root causes in schedule attainment failures or misses and work with other department personnel to identify and analyze the root cause. Develop improvements to avoid future failures.

  • Support GME pillars by submitting monthly, quarterly improvements and participating on Focused Improvement teams when required. Executing process improvement strategies, purchasing, scheduling maximize efficiency and reduce operational cost.

  • Ability to backup other planners in the department as needed.

  • Become proficient in Clorox New Item Setup process and be able to complete assigned workflows. Communicate with stakeholders when new part numbers are required and provide information pertinent to the role.

  • Ensure NODDs are closed by the end of each quarter.

  • Lead/Participate in recipes review meeting, present data to adjust our OEEs and execute changes as a result of discussion.

What we look for:

  • BA/BS Degree

  • Requires a general MRP knowledge of purchasing and production planning principles, procedures. SAP Experience.

  • Excellent communication and listening skills. Ability to determine need, frequency, and level of communication needed up, down, and cross functionally; demonstrated verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Planning and organization skills: ability to establish work plans, "multi-task", and prioritize simultaneous projects.

  • Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced and demanding manufacturing environment. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other team members.

  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office

  • PowerBi (Preferred)

  • Bilingual (Preferred)

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $69,600 - $127,400

–Zone B: $63,800 - $116,800

–Zone C: $58,000 - $106,100
