The Clorox Company Safety, Health and Environmental Manager in Wheeling, Illinois
Leadership role within a foods plant. The role is responsible for developing and implementing safety and health programs at the Wheeling site and ensuring compliance with our environmental programs. Will work closely with everyone onsite to develop a culture where "SAFETY IS A CORE VALUE". Will be a part of the leadership team and report to the APM.

Provide day to day leadership around Safety and Health. Help develop a safety culture that engages everyone and sees "Safety as a Core Value".
Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.
Develop an hourly safety coordinator role and develop the individual in that role.
Develop a safety pillar team that leads safety across all areas and shifts
Active member of the leadership team.
Supports new product initiatives, capital plans, and project to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
High School Diploma from an accredited institution
3 years of experience in a Safety, Health and Environmental role.
3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
2 years of experience in a leadership role.
Position will require the candidate to be in manufacturing environment with rotating equipment, elevated surfaces, temperature variations etc.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health or engineering from an accredited institution
5 years of experience in a SH&E role.
Experience with waste water and storm water management
Hands-on skills related to OSHA compliance and developing safety programs.
Demonstrated, proven ability to lead and develop individuals and teams alike.
Ability to drive sustained culture improvements and empower the workforce.
Capability to understand and perform root cause analysis and problem resolution.
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work based on business needs and resources.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact, influence, and communicate with multiple levels of the organization.
Experience with operating and expense budget development and management.
Proficient in computer skills such as Word, Excel, Access, etc.
